When information is scattered across multiple sources and databases, it forces users to interpret connections themselves and rely on coworkers for answers, creating dependency and inefficiency. Spending time navigating countless tabs or seeking help disrupts productivity and complicates work.

Centralized searches

  • Access all relevant files under one smart search bar for easy comparison.
  • Consolidated information from different sources simplifies interpretation.
  • Independence in retrieving project data without relying on others.
Key knowledge gets lost when it's not documented or is hidden in old files, making it hard to interpret and understand. Without a unified system, onboarding and handovers are inefficient, and knowledge from multiple projects fails to come together, leading to miscommunication and confusion.

Holistic information

  • Uncover hidden insights across teams, clarifying their meaning for each project.
  • Create a paper trail that simplifies onboarding and speeds up handovers.
  • Build a shared knowledge base that boosts efficiency across all projects.
When decisions are made without all relevant data and its interpretations left unstored, people rely on memory and intuition, using excessive mental energy to recall information. This leads to guesswork and makes it difficult to trace back the rationale behind design choices when negotiating with stakeholders.

Fact-based decision making

  • Sources are organized and quick to reference during design negotiations.
  • Faster decisions with reliable, well-structured information.
  • Confident decision-making due to quick access to all relevant data.

FAQ

Is AI going to take my job as an architect?

No.

We have interviewed dozens of architects and other pre-construction professionals to find out what they value the most in their job, and what their biggest painpoints are. This way, we were able to validate our assumption that architects are passionate about their work and want to spend more of their time creating high-quality designs for healthy, safe and sustainable buildings. However, reaching that goal involves navigating and interpreting numerous guidelines, and the process of identifying, understanding, and communicating these to the team can disrupt workflows. On the other hand, constraints can also spark creativity by providing a starting point and avoiding ”blank canvas syndrome.”

We were able to identify how crucial finding the right guidelines is, but it takes a lot of time and creates brain drain. This is what we're trying to solve by providing a tool that speeds up background work to free time for actually creating designs within the constraints of laws, guidelines and client requirements. Al will not take your job, it can only make you faster and better at it by doing some of the work for you. You still get to use your expertise when analyzing the usefulness of and applying the knowledge it provides for you.

Just as architectural tools, such as CAD and BIM, enhance your ability to visualise and model complex structures, Al enhances your ability to analyse and generate ideas based on different inputs. It's not about replacing architects but augmenting their creative process by offering new insights and possibilities that would be time- consuming to analyze manually.

Where do you get the law and guideline documents?

We source information directly from the public databases you already use in your work. What's more, we constantly add new documents in Complink's pool of knowledge by letting our users tell which additional sources would be useful for them.

How do I know it's reliable?

As a professional in the building industry, you ensure a building is reliable by using high-quality materials, following building codes, and performing multiple safety checks instead of relying on one calculation, guideline or material test alone. Similarly, Al uses various methods to confirm accuracy and identify uncertainties, such as high-quality data, cross-referencing sources, and updating information regularly.

Just like a human, Al can make mistakes. Your expertise as a professional and knowledge of the context of your project plays a key role in selecting the pieces of information that are useful out of the answers Complink gives you, just like when reading through static guideline documents.

While Complink creates a summary of the information provided by multiple sources, the RAG answers are always accompanied by the original documents right at your fingertips. You can view them in our customised, easy-to-read format, switch to their original view mode or click a link in the document to find them in their original source.

We automate a check and update of the public documents on a weekly basis. Additionally, we regularly check and curate the documents by manual review done by humans to ensure no updates in the content or broken links go unnoticed.

Our team tackles challenges from diverse perspectives, united by a common goal - making professionals lives easier.
